Agent is attempting to ascertain the nature of the call, which will typically fit into one of the following scenarios:

  • I apologize for any inconvenience, and I would be happy to remove you from our mailing list. I just need your name and address to make sure we are able to remove you from the list.
    • Agent must make sure to determine whether the address given is the mailing address or the property address the letter is inquiring about. Either one will be fine.
  • Agent Note – If caller is looking for more information on how/why they are on our list.
    • We pull our mailing lists from public records. Your property must have fit a certain criteria we look for. I am not sure what the criteria would have been for your specific property.
  • Agent Note – If caller is wondering how we got a picture of their home
    • The property pictures are typically from Google Street View or it was taken by someone on our acquisition team.
  • Actually, his calls get forwarded to me when he is out of the office or in a meeting. Would it be helpful if I forwarded a message to him so he can call you back?
    • Yes 
      • Okay, great. What is the best number for him to call you back on?
      • What is your full name?
      • Is this in regards to a property you are considering selling? 
        • Yes
          • Okay, great. I just need the property address and I will forward it along to Matt.
        • No
          • Okay, no problem. Is there another topic you would like to discuss with him?
    • No
      • If the caller wishes to call back later, let them know they may reach you again. The best way to get in touch with him is to leave a call back number.
  • Okay great, thanks for calling.

  • Okay, great. Lastly, I just need the property address.
  • Perfect, thank you.  I’ll forward your information over right away. Is there anything else you would like me to put in my notes?
  • Company Description: We are not real estate agents. We are a local company that purchases properties in the area. We have one office in Norwood, Massachusetts and another in Shelton, Connecticut. We specialize in working with homeowners to create solutions that fit their needs. If you or the property have unique needs that aren’t suited for the typical home selling process, then we may be a good fit. It would be best for you to speak directly with the owner of the company.   • Investor
    • If you are interested in being added to our buyer’s list you can fill out a form on our website. Visit thehelpfulhomebuyers.com and click on “Looking To Buy”.
      • They can enter their buying criteria and we will contact them when we have new deals that meet their criteria.
  • Wholesaler
    • If you have a specific property your are wholesaling at this time, I can take that information down and someone will get back to you if it meets our buying criteria.
      • If they ask about our buying criteria, let them know you are just an assistant and that isn’t something you would be able to speak to.
    • If you don’t have a specific property, then feel free to add our company to your list. Please use info@thehelpfulhomebuyers.com when you send out perspective deals.

Agent should take down any additional details from the caller in the Notes/Comments Section.
